Yamaha BB405 5-String 2004 Natural

This 5-string electric bass is looking for a new home (Yamaha BB405)!

I bought this bass new in 2004. Over the past 17 years, it has been my go-to instrument for a spectrum of genres, ranging from jazz to rock-n-roll. The body and neck have many small scratches and dents, but they are tough to see. My right-hand thumb has also left some wear on the body near the pickups. Despite the cosmetic blemishes on the beautiful natural finish, this workhorse still plays and sounds great. The neck is relatively thin for a 5-string and the 24 fret finger board provides plenty the room to explore virtuoso styles. Passive JJ style pickups and 3 knob control (volume, volume, tone) yield a clearer and punchier tone than P style pickups. It also comes with a hard case, which is a little bent near the corners but still fully functional.

If you're on the market for a trusty and affordable 5-string bass, then look no further this Yamaha BB405. I'd love to hold on to this tried-and-true companion, but it's time for me to let it go and transition into the world of the 4-string bass.
