For sale is my Pre-Fender SWR Super Redhead 2x10 professional bass combo.

This is the upgraded Super Redhead version of SWR’s classic Redhead combo, with 350 watts into the internal 4-ohm 2x10 speaker system, built-in horn, tube preamp section, extensive tone shaping, balanced direct output, effects loop, tuner output, and provision for an extension speaker.

It has the classic SWR sound: clean, articulate and very responsive, with Aural Enhancer™, three-band active EQ with variable midrange, pull turbo (ultra-low) and transparency (ultra-high) controls, studio-quality two-mode XLR out with ground lift and level pad, XLR mute, effects loop with blend control, fan defeat switch, tuner send, speaker on/off switch, stereo headphone out, extension speaker out, single empty rack space for effects unit, removable casters, side spring-loaded handles, front slot port, protective front cover (which doubles as stand for tilt-back use) Original Retail: $2,100.00.

The amp is tested and working properly. It is in very good condition considering its age, with normal cosmetic wear from use. The grille, cabinet and distinctive red SWR control chassis present well. Please see photos for exact condition.

NOTE: this is the 350W Super Redhead, not the older 240W Redhead. in 1996 SWR upgraded the Redhead and renamed it the Super Redhead. The upgrades included more amplifier power, greater speaker power handling, an internal cooling fan, redesigned front/rear panels, an XLR mute, and a revised front-ported speaker section. The original Redhead is generally cited at roughly 240W, while the Super Redhead is 350W into its internal 4-ohm 2x10 system, 400W with an 8-ohm extension cabinet, and 450W at 2 ohms.

This is a substantial, very well-built American SWR combo from the period when these were serious professional bass amps.
