Where to begin...
I've spent way more time on this guy than deemed safe, or sane for that matter.
The neck and body have been converted to a set neck platform and everything's been pitched and sculpted to match correctly. There's not a thing factory left on it.
Pickups are EMG 35P4's Neck and Bridge. Electronics are EMG BQC volume and balance with Mid/ Mid Sweep and Treble/Bass stacked pots.
This bass is a 4 string that's been converted into a 5 string and it feels really nice. Feels like a thinned down Ibanez SR series. Very comfortable with easy access to every string without feeling like you have to stretch too much. If you are looking for a narrow spaced 5 string, this is the narrowest you can get.
The nut is a Graphtec and the bridge has handbuilt brass saddles that are slotted and spaced as narrow as comfortable.
The fret board has been radiused to 16, fret markers replaced with black dots, and Jumbo frets installed.
Paint is primer gray with satin clear. It's a hot rod so he has a few minor finish imperfections but that's character. Heck, this thing needs to be roughed up a bit. I didn't put all this work in it just to look at him. I wanted a 5 string thunderbird and never found a factory one I liked.
This thing plays very very well and sounds monstrous. I'm getting away from thunderbirds in general and looking for something different. It's a disease I know...
This isn't your average Epi T-bird. This thing has been professionally remodeled beyond recognition, and reason. One thing about him, you won't find another one like him.
Comes with a brand new Epiphone Thunderbird hardcase.
Asking $850 negotiable.
