"Vintage Relic pre-wired upgrade kit (Orange Drop caps) fits / compatible with Gibson Les Paul guitars. New. A very economical way to improve the tone of your LP! Direct replacement for your Historic R9 R8 R7 R6 R4 R0 1959 1958 1957 1956 1954 1960 reissue.

  • 4 USA CTS 500k 10% Tolerance short shaft (brass) audio taper pots (2 volume, 2 tone). Top of the line CTS pots with tight tolerances and measuring ~550k. We do measure all pots and use higher values for the volume positions.

  • 2 Orange Drop .022 uF model 715P tone capacitors. Very nice caps!

  • 50's style wiring.

  • Vintage correct 20 AWG silver plated copper grounding wire between the pots.

  • Wiring diagram included.

  • Ask if you need it wired for LEFT HANDED layout (note: we do not have reverse taper pots).

Please note: this kit is designed for Gibson Les Paul Historic Reissue or vintage Gibson guitars (pre-1978) that use short shaft pots. If your guitar requires long shaft pots (most all non-Historic Reissue Gibsons), see our other auctions. Also, CTS pots require a 3/8" hole (in the top of your guitar); most USA made guitars are drilled this way, however imported guitars often are not."
