Gibson J-185 Original - Flame Maple - Fishman Pickup - Very Good Condition w/ OHSC

For sale is a gorgeous Gibson J-185 with highly flamed maple back and sides and factory-installed Fishman pickup.

The J-185 is considered by many to be one of Gibson's best acoustics ever. Originally released in the early 1950s as a slightly smaller-bodied companion to the SJ-200, it hits what many players call the perfect jumbo size — incredibly balanced across lows, mids, and highs with even response all the way up the fretboard.

Condition: Very good condition for its age. There are a couple of small dings on the top (see photos) and a few small scuffs on the original hardshell case. There is a small finish crack on the headstock as noted in the picture. No top cracks, no repairs, no issues.

Playability: Plays beautifully, with plenty of saddle left for future adjustment. Neck is straight, truss rod works as it should.

Electronics: Factory Fishman pickup works perfectly and sounds excellent plugged in.
