1935 Vivi-Tone Acoustic Guitar made on or before Oct. 15, 1935. Serial No. 382.  A good example of the interesting and innovative design elements of Lloyd Loar after he left Gibson in 1924.  The guitar features an arched Spruce top, small carved soundhole beneath the floating bridge, recessed back with two (2) "f" shaped sound holes, bound Ebony fingerboard with a "V" shaped Mahogony neck, celluloid (I believe) pickguard, cast metal tailpiece with Vivi-Tone logo and veneered headstock with Vivi-Tone logo.  2 Original labels below bridge soundhole read Vivitone Guitar No.382 Manufactured by Vivi Tone Company Kalamazoo, Michigan. Staining on left side of this label.  Second label reads "On or before the 15th day of Oct 1935 this Acousti-Guitar No.382 if kept in good condition, may be exchanged at full prevailing  price at time of exchange on an Acousti-Lectric Guitar for either acoustic or electric playing selling for not less than $99.00 retail."  Stamped VIVI-TONE COMPANY KALAMAZOO MICHIGAN.  This label has minimal staining on edges. The condition of the guitar is good with some scratches and wear due to age.   Issues include:  fill markings (2) on the 11th fret; a ringmark on right side of the headstock;  two (2) missing screws for tuners; a wood chip at heal of neck; wood split on back center;  deep scratch by rear "f" hole;  various scratches and wear. There is a question regarding the tuners being original.  Strung with new Martin MA130 silk and steel  strings.  Check out video to see how clean and amazing this guitar sounds especially in upper register.  Theme song from "Green Acres".    Early  example of Vivi-Tone evolution.  Please check pics for above condition descriptions and feel free to inquire.  Comes with a used hardshell case.  Dimensions:  length 39"; width at widest bow 13"; depth 4.5".
