Martin acoustic guitar crafted at their New York City factory, circa 1867-1880. Likely a Style 30 Big sound in a small package, this piece of Martin history not only sounds the part, it also looks the part.  

This guitar has been professionally restored and is in excellent playable condition. It has a really big sound and does not require any adjustments (e.g., neck, setup, etc.). 

This is from C.F. Martin: “The internal stamp on your guitar reads C.F. Martin & Co. which was first used in August of 1867 after C.F. Martin, Sr. brought on his son (C.F. Martin, Jr.) and his nephew (C.F. Hartmann) as partners, ex. 1. Guitars built prior to this would have been stamped C.F. Martin New York, ex. 2. It is possible that the underside of the top has a date on it which was common in the second half of the 1800s.”

“I can tell that it was repaired by Martin at some point. The pickguard was added and also the decal on the back of the headstock which the company would do from the 1930s-1970s when a guitar like this came in for a repair.”

Was kept in the same family for over 90 years and carefully restored over a period of 3 years after we received it. The inlay on this guitar was recreated by Italian craftsmen to match what would have been the original as several sections had been lost over the years with many cracks in the remaining inlay. IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT ELEPHANT IVORY. Regarding international shipping, on these old Martin's, the top and back, as well as the fingerboard, were bound with genuine elephant ivory.  As noted in Longworth, Style 30 was described as "ivory to the nut", having ivory binding which extended the length of the neck. Because of this, you will have to determine whether this instrument can be shipped to your country.
