I myself prefer the metal buttons over what I consider to be the cheaper plastic.
The plastic buttons can break or even come off. You won't have any of those problems with these. Sealed lubrication, removable knobs, screw flange at 4 and 8 O'clock, 10mm headstock hole. Heavy Duty units that will take day in and day out use.
Worst case scenario on fit would be the need to drill out your existing holes a bit larger. I find that a machine head upgrade is one of the best, most enjoyable things you can do for ANY guitar. De string the guitar, remove the existing tuners and replace. These are held in place by the shank that goes through the headstock, the washer and bolt hold these securely in place. In addition, you attach a tiny screw on the back of the head stock, which is included as well...nothing could be simpler. When you are done, pat yourself on the back and crack a beer or whatever your favorite relaxant might be, because you will feel great..!
