sorta pains me to list this as i built it to be my dream strat but I've been playing offsets and a les paul lately so this might as well go to someone who will play it

body is warmoth one-piece swamp ash finished in in a transparent amber with waterbased poly (besides being a pain in the ass to work with and terrible for the environment with all the VOCs, for an instrument that's meant to be gigged nitrocellulose lacquer is not durable and reacts to many things. not what i'd ever want)

fender hardtail bridge and tuners purchased from the stratosphere (replaced the bent steel saddles with something more substantial), string through body

birdseye maple neck with Indianrosewood board, vintage frets (6105), clay fret markers, 22 frets, and 10-16" compound radius. graphtech tusq nut and string trees. large 70s headstock. 1 5/8" nut width

pickups: bridge and middle were custom wound for me by Benson pickups in upstate ny: alnico v vintage stagger polepieces slightly overwound (i believe the bridge is right around 7k5 dcr). neck is a lace sensor silver to get a rounder, fatter neck tone (doesn't lack brightness but can be nice and woody with the tone dialed down)

right now there is a 3 way pickup selector switch but i will replace with a standard 5-way (i had a habit of knocking the 5-way into one of the parallel positions which wasn't fun when playing heavier stuff). master volume and two tone controls. the top tone control is for parallel mode and the bottom is for series mode: the to switch overrides the pickup selector to place the bridge and middle pickups in series for a humbucker sound, and switches from the parallel tone control to the series tone control. the bottom switch is exactly like the "strangle" switch in a jaguar: shaves off some bass, which is super useful if you're playing lead lines with a lot of delay

bourns pots, switchcraft jack, probably orange drop tone caps. cavity and pickguard are shielded to tame noise

there area few dings and dents, some buckle rash on the back but this thing is gorgeous and plays fantastically. was my main guitar for years

i have a gator case that I'll ship this in, strings slackened, and with reverb safe shipping

i usually list with offers accepted but i don't think i will for this. willing to wait for the right buyer who wants to play the hell out of it. comparable guitar from the fender custom shop would be considerably more so i feel it's priced fairly

because i was asked i weighed on a bathroom scale: weighed 7.6lbs
