Another great guitar from the workshop of Japanese master builder Ryoji Matsuoka. This guitar was actually built by Ryoji's son, Toshiaki who now runs his father's workshop. Ryoji earned the right to use his own label in the early 1980 when according to Japanese tradition he was able to demonstrate that he was able to build a guitar that was as good or better than his father's. These guitars are very rare indeed. It features the same naturally dried woods and craftsmanship that made the family name famous. A great aged spruce top gives this guitar great tone and volume. Matched with rosewood back and sides, it’s a classic combo.
The guitar is structurally sound and crack-free. It has some light wear around the body a ding in the top and one in the back but overall very good condition. Frets are also in good shape.
