Sensational and stunning late 1964 (or early ‘65) Gibson ES-330TDC in excellent condition, original, and featuring a factory Maestro/Lyre vibrola tailpiece! Details below on thoughts regarding year verification.
This beauty features the wider nut width, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and desirable '64 neck profile and taper. It plays beautifully and sounds outstanding via the 2 P90 pickups. Strong output, excellent clarity and note separation. Acoustically, the guitar is very resonant and is as much a joy to play unplugged as through your favorite amplifier! There are minor signs of use and handling (some nicks, a little coil/strap burn on back, small spots of finish "fuzzing" on the treble side rims), but it remains a very vibrant, collectible piece sure to bring great joy to the next owner.
Ready for the studio, stage, or serious collection.

**Pictured with missing string ferrule, though it has since been replaced. Ships in generic hard case as the original black semi-soft case is obliterated/non-functional and only included for posterity!**
**Regarding Year/Date: According to Gruhn, this guitars serial number (176889) falls under 1964 as the year of production. However, I did wonder about the black case with red interior and thought, “Well, it’s possible it shipped with a later case, not terribly unusual for late-year serial numbers”. The solder on the electronics has not been touched up and covers 99% of the date codes. I got a super magnifying glass and tiny mirror and was able to finally make out what looks like 137 65 ??, which both surprises me because this guitar has been assumed ‘64 for a long time before my possession, yet makes sense. It shares all the traits of a ‘64 Gibson, most specifically the neck profile and nickel hardware. We do know those features have crept into ‘65 because I’ve had those guitars, but none that were listed by an industry standard text as being definitively 1964. Based upon this information, my opinion is it was likely assembled in 1964 and finished/shipped in 1965 (vintage Martin guitars are dated in this way).
