GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is listing is for a Lakland 55-01 Skyline  5 string bass in excellent condition or better.  It has a natural gloss finish with a Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard.  The sale includes the bass and a gig bag.

This bass is a very versatile 5 stringer, and has excellent tone.  There are no significant dents or dings. The bridge and tuners have no corrosion or pitting.  There is no wear on the frets.  Overall the bass is in excellent to near mint condition. I’d give it a 9.5 out 10.  It could easily pass for a new bass hanging in a music store.

“Way off the deep end!  Just like the 44-01, dual Bartolini MK-1 split-coil soapbars are coupled with the MK-1 preamp. THE BOTTOM LINE

The MSRP is $1099 and the street price is $824.  You can score this one for hundreds less.  Lakland is known for their high quality and craftsmanship, even in their Skyline Series basses, and this bass is no exception.

This bass looks great, sounds great and is as easy to play a 5 string as you’ll find . . . and all of this comes at a very low price.  You’ll be hard pressed to get a bigger bang for you buck in a 5 string bass.
