This super cool Harmony H1265 Sovereign Deluxe is a rare piece, only made for a year or two in 1967/1968. Not to be confused with the '30s Harmony Parlor with the same model designation, this H1265 is a high end "extra dreadnought" - near jumbo acoustic with a huge sound! These higher end Harmony acoustics can go toe to toe with most Martins and Gibsons and they definitely win in the cool factor department as well. This one is in great shape for it's age and plays and sounds great with no issues! It loves to be strummed for sure!

This Sovereign Deluxe boasts all solid spruce and mahogany construction, a fat mahogany neck with pearl block inlaid rosewood fingerboard, a unique moustache rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle, and the classic original asymmetrical pickguard with raised Harmony logo and matching headstock overlay. Someone replaced the original tuners with Schallers.

This H1265 is in good condition for it's age. It needs nothing and is completely structurally sound and ready to play. It has some light finish checking throughout but just the right amount. The neck is comfortable with no big dings, and the frets are a bit worn but there are no playability issues there. The neck is dead straight and action very nice, perfect for a flat picker - maybe a bit high for a fingerpicker currently, but that's what the adjustable saddle is for. There is a tiny gap under one of the bridge "points" that a paper would fit under, but the bridge isn't lifting nor is the top bulging.

Includes original semi-hard case.
