1994 Ken Smith Burner VI Artist Maple with a Mike Pope Flexcore 4-band Preamp $1799
This bass is a bit of a rare bird. There are a good deal of 90s Burner Basses around, but most of them are swamp ash bodies. The Artist Maple model was the top of the line of the Burner Series at the time. For this model, the body, hardware, and original preamp were from the USA shop and the neck and pickups from the Japanese shop. This bass has a Mike Pope Flexcore four band preamp. The other upgrade is a brass nut. Truss rod, frets, and electronics are all in great shape. There is standard player wear of scuffs and a few dings. The largest ones are pictured to the best of my ability. This is a great playing and sounding bass that’s in pretty wonderful shape. The upgraded preamp makes this bass a Swiss Army Knife of tones. Those who have used the newer Mike Pope pres know.
Here's a solo piece I did with this bass
Body Woods: Maple Tone Block, Mahogany Body Wings, Quilt Maple Top and Back, Walnut Accent Veneers.
Neck Woods: Five piece Maple/Walnut
Fingerboard: 24-fret Rosewood (it may be Morado ), Mother of Pearl Dots

Strap Locks
Controls: Stacked Master Volume/Passive Tone, Blend, Stacked High Mids/Low Mids, Stacked Treble/Bass, High Mids Shelving Switch, Low Mids Shelving Switch, Active-Passive Switch
Weight: 10.4 lbs
Spacing: 16.5mm at the bridge
I don't have the original case, but I will include a gig bag.
