Exceptional quality in very good condition with all new white kid leather pads, new corks and springs as necessary for excellent playability. This clarinet is practically in museum quality and a fantastic instrument. This combination of rarity and condition sets a standard for this model, which was designed to compete with the R13, due to the shape of the bore. This particular one has two asterisks or stars above the serial number on the upper joint. Clearly this was marked for the reason based on how the instrument plays and sounds, it was obviously deemed of higher quality with those two rare markings. It comes in a vintage Buffet case which is worn but still completely usable, with working latches and hinges.
