Authentic Reproduction of the LEGENDARY Frequency Shifter from the Moog Modular System designed by Harald Bode
24 hp
4.8 inches Depth
70 mA +/-12V
70 mA +5V
The Analogue Systems rs240 Frequency Shifter module is special. It is the only frequency shifter module that can reasonably be compared to an original (and extremely expensive) Bode Frequency Shifter.
A frequency shifter is a highly specialized module capable of shifting the spectrum of a signal by a fixed amount. This is very different from a pitch-shifter and other effects such as a ring modulator or frequency modulation. Bode-type frequency shifter. This new module faithfully reproduces the circuitry of the classic Bode unit.
The RS-240 allows you to shift the frequency linearly within a number of ranges, the widest of which shifts the signal by approximately +/- 5kHz at its maximum setting. You can use manual and voltage controls (or a combination of the two) to achieve the desired effects. Upwardly shifted and downwardly shifted signals are available simultaneously, both as independent signals, and as a user-defined mix of the two.
This module also allows you to shift the frequency exponentially, which will produce a number of conventional and less conventional pitch shifting effects.
Usage with eurorack:
Analogue Systems modules include their own custom ribbon connector that differ from the standard Doepfer ribbon connector. Many Eurorack cases include two types of power sockets (Doepfer and Analogue Systems type) for connecting modules. Please check that your case has compatible Analogue Systems sockets or please inquire about purchasing a converter cable from us. We are here to assist you with any questions you might have on connecting these modules but are not responsible for modules that are improperly installed. Please be sure to understand the connectors before purchasing.
