Here’s a pre-owned vintage Gibson 12-string from 1963, with a very cool cherry sunburst finish. The Gibson B45-12 came out in 1961 as a round shoulder flattop acoustic guitar. By 1963 this became a square shoulder model, and this particular piece has what appears to be an original trapeze tailpiece and bridge that is quite unique for the year. It has a great sound and plays well, though the neck may need some attention in the future. The guitar is in good condition, with checking in the finish, some dings on the body, 2 cracks on the top, and 2 cracks on the back; 3 of which have been addressed with a glue job. The finish on the back has blistering, and the top is sinking slightly. The single-line Kluson tuners are original, as are the frets which have just some light fretware. The nice mahogany back and sides, spruce top, vintage style pickguard, interesting pearl headstock inlay, and cream binding make this a choice piece for any Gibson enthusiast.
