Manchester Music Mill was recently presented with an opportunity to hand-select premium woods from Martin’s Custom Shop and craft some unique, one-of-a-kind acoustic guitars. One such instrument is this Martin Custom Shop 00-17 Black Walnut, a small-bodied, slope shoulder 12-fret stunner!
The combination of solid Black Walnut top, back and sides and satin finish impart exceptional warmth to this instrument, that is augmented in the high end by a black ebony fingerboard, bone nut and compensated bone saddle. In addition, the satin-finished 16” radius short scale 24.84” modified low oval profile neck with performing artist taper and 1 3/4” nut width provides players with effortless playability throughout this instrument’s range.
Martin matches this guitar’s vintage inspired voice with such elegantly austere appointments as a large old-style Martin headplate decal, black ebony bridge, diamond & square short pattern fingerboard inlays and rear-mounted Golden Age Relic Brass tuning machines.
This Martin Custom Shop creation is the perfect blend of vintage aesthetics and modern playability. Includes deluxe hardshell case and Martin Custom Shop paperwork.
