After the success of the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Electro Acoustic Guitar - one of the best-selling artist models in the history of Fender acoustics - Tim Armstrong of 'Rancid' decided to ramp it up even further with a 12 string model: the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 Electro Acoustic Guitar.

The Body Size & Tonewood

You can be sure to have a playing experience that is both comfortable and tonally balanced with the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12-String Electro Acoustic Guitar.

This is primarily due to the combination of a concert-body style (offering a smaller and lightweight design), and solid mahogany top with scalloped bracing, ensuring a distinct and warm tone profile with a strong, punchy midrange and excellent clarity.

Fender have stuck with mahogany for the back and sides also, but opted for a satin-finished maple for the neck, and walnut for the fretboard and bridge. The saddle is Graph Tech NuBone, a classic choice for many electro acoustic guitars due to it's help with balancing frequencies and increasing sustain.

The neck also features 'Hellcat' logo inlays on the third, fifth, seventh and ninth frets, as well as two skulls on the twelfth.

What Electronics Does the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12 String Have?

As for electronics, Fender have opted for a Fishman CD pickup system with active preamp, tuner volume and tone controls for this electro acoustic guitar. These pickups are renowned for their clarity, ensuring that the difference before your amplified and unplugged sound is minimal.
