Oscar Schmidt Spirit LP Style Guitar Flame Maple Burst Upgrades Made In Korea. Condition is Used.
Built by Samick Factory, same one that builds Epiphone, PRS, most of the electric guitars that come out of Korea to this day.
Oscar Schmidt Guitars have been around since the late 1800’s and are one of the longest running guitar and mandolin manufactures in the world. They have been part of the Washburn family of guitars since the mid to late 1980’s. Samick is the largest guitar manufacturer in the world.
This is a really cool hard to find guitar. Made at the Samick Factory in Korea in the late ‘80’s. From what I can find, Oscar Schmidt made a Spirit Les Paul and ES-335 copy.
The top is a beautiful flame maple in a dark sunburst color. The back and sides are the usual translucent maroon color, as well as the neck.
It has nice quality parts on it, (sealed tuners, bridge and stoptail.
The wiring has been upgraded to late model pots, input jack, and 3 way switch.
I have removed the original pickups and installed brand new high output Epiphone USA designed humbuckers and pickup rings.
The fretboard has been cleaned, frets polished, and wood treated with lemon oil.
It has brand new Ernie Ball Slinky.10-.46 strings.
The guitar has a few dents and dings, but above average for a 30+ year old guitar.
The stand in the pics is not included.
Selling guitar as is with no warranty.
Guitar will be professionally packaged and shipped with insurance.
The guitar will need to be tuned upon receiving and possibly set up to your playing preferences. I don’t give partial refunds for this.
