The Radial JDX 48 Reactor captures the intensity, dynamics and warmth of an amplifier by connecting between the amp head and speaker cabinet. The sound that is similar to a well-placed microphone—but without the typical frustrating inconsistencies from mic to mic.
100% discrete class-A circuitry and a transformer-coupled 'reactive load' capture both the sound from the amp head along with the back electromagnetic impulse from the loudspeaker. This produces a more realistic tone than other company’s resistive pad designs. A multi-stage filter emulates the tone a Shure SM57 in front of a Marshall half-stack.
You don’t have to worry about mic placement, mic type or hall acoustics. The tone in your in-ear monitors remains consistent from one show to the next. Sound-check headaches are minimized.
The JDX also works great on bass, delivering a tone reminiscent of an Ampeg SVT connected to an 8x10 cab. You also get extended low end for deep bass frequencies.
- Captures sound of both the head and the cabinet
- Delivers consistent tone - show after show
- Works equally well on electric guitar and bass
- Can be used with 48V phantom power or DC supply
