Early versions of the Juno 106 boards used this D7810G CPU in combinationwith a RAM chip with the operating system. Later Junos had a MASK ROMCPU, with the software programmed internallyThese MASK ROMs are nolonger available, but they can be replaced with this first CPU, in combinationwith Eproms  each of which contains the last OS software:A5 - TMM2764D-649 for the CPU BoardB2 - TMM2764D-650 for Module Board Sold here is the CPU, for both CPU OR Module Board.OS Eproms A5 OR B2 and 74HC373AP (if you need for module board)

ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE, PLUG-AND-PLAY UPDATE.
Do not attempt this without a serious understanding of electronic circuits.

• 1. Modification might be needed. When you are replacing the CPU in a Juno that has a D7811G factory-installed, it will most likely be missing IC 39, a 74HC373AP Flip-Flop, which will have to be added.
• 2. In order to read the external Eprom instead of it's internal ROM, the necessary connection needs to be made. Remove the resistor at J1. Then add a jumper at J2, enabling the CPU to access the external memory. See also Juno 106 service manual.

* These steps are not necessary when a D7810G CPU is already installed.ALSO: Soldering these QUIP chips needs extreme care. Once the pins are bent it is nearly impossible to get them back in line. When you have only limited experience in soldering, don't even try. Get an experienced technician for his job and save yourself the frustration.
