EDIT: SHOOT ME AN OFFER!!! THIS THING IS THE BEST PLAYING INSTRUMENT I OWN, IT BELONGS IN YOUR HANDS!!!
Super rare ‘84 Peavey Dyna-Bass in midnight blue finish. Have had this bass for about a year, maybe two. One of the best and easiest basses I’ve ever had the pleasure to play, but it’s time for a new owner who will truly use it to its full potential.
Here are some things that make it a basically perfect instrument:
-perfectly balanced
-pretty lightweight
-matching headstock and neck color
-chunky, original, matching hardware
-active/passive switch and 3-band EQ
-pickup blend knob with center detente for quick tone shaping
-jazz bass-like tone, with a modern edge
-extra-super low action and no buzzing
-extra high-fret to dunk on Fender players (full 3 octave range with a high E!!)
-unnoticeable hum even at high-volume; the majesty of Peavey’s original Super-Ferrite pickups
-American build quality - bass is sturdy as anything, and they’re known to be “workhorses”
-straight-as-an-arrow neck
Unique to this particular instrument is the mojo of a rare breed, made in the U.S.A. in 1984 (can you say vintage?) and an excellent condition after all these years - only a couple barely noticeable scratches on the back of the neck, that don’t even break the blue finish.
Oh, and it comes with a matching hard shell case that fits it perfectly. The case is a bit warped, and there have been some cracks and a repair job done on one of the hinges, but hey, it’s original, it will protect your bass, and it still works, opens and closes just fine.
PM me and I will happily record a video for you to hear just how great this bass really plays. It can do it all - slapping, tapping, burpy fingerstyle funk, burly neck-pickup plectrum stuff, and harmonics jump right out... just look up a few reviews and you’ll see just how many people fawn over these basses.
To quote a TalkBass member, “God didn’t make them, so they aren’t perfect, but Peavey did, so they’re damn good.”
Offers are welcome. Free shipping.
