Here is what Cort says about the Curbow 4:
The carved-top body is made of luthite and features an extended upper horn for strapped balance and a deep lower cutaway for unrestricted access to all frets. The rock-maple neck extends into the body all the way to the pickup for maximum vibration transfer. Electronics include a single, slim Bartolini passive humbucker wired to an active 9V circuit with 3-band EQ and a "slap" contour switch with adjustable bass and midrange boost (accessed from the rear). Controls also include volume, treble cut, mid boost/cut and bass boost/cut knobs on the front. The fingerboard is made of Ebanol and polished to a mirror finish. It all adds up to a cutting-edge, premium-quality bass for a very affordable price.

FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher? The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.
Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.
Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.
Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping.
What identifies an instrument as being refurbished? All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number. This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
