This is a pre-sale listing for this 13 x 7 hhg shell. If you buy it today, we will be dressing it up with your choice of hardware, and will be sending it off to you as a completed, ready to play snare drum!

This shell is a 13x7 ash wood stave shell. Pennsylvania White Ash has quickly become one of our favorite Timbers for drum building. It is incredibly hard and vigorous, while remaining very stable over its lifetime. A truly wonderful choice of wood species to use for instrument building. This particular drum shell is ridiculously thick, at around .875", or an equivalent to a 60 ply shell!

Feel free to let us know what  color Hardware you would like us to put on the drum. We can do gold, chrome, or black nickel.

The price of this listening includes our standard hhg single point lugs, 2.3 mm triple flanged hoops, a vintage style strainer, diecast butt plate, diecast air vent, diecast hhg badge, Evans drum heads, and puresound snare wires.

If you would like to substitute any of that for some specific Hardware of your choosing, feel free to shoot us a message, though this may increase the price.

You can choose the bearing edges as well if you have something specific in mind, otherwise we will cut our standard Edge which consists of a 1/8 inch radius on that outside cut, and a 45 degree inside cut.

As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them. We would love to build one for you!
