This guitar features a sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck, and ebony fretboard and bridge.  It is in excellent condition - especially for a 22 year old instrument that has been played and enjoyed.  It has minimal scratches and no noticeable blemishes or dents.  The pictures tell the story - tried to take many shots in different lighting to fully inform the buyer.  A beautiful specimen from the early days of Breedlove.

This particular instrument was manufactured in December 1998 in the original Breedlove factory in Tumalo, OR.   A copy of the original build sheet is included.  It notes that this guitar is classified as a "Premier" instrument, which I understand is equivalent to the custom built "Masterclass" designation of today.  Its label is signed by Breedlove founder Steve Henderson.

These early Breedlove guitars reflect the rich heritage of American guitar-making in the late 20th century, characterized by the sense of independence, innovation, and cultural rebirth that drove people to migrate to the Pacific northwest.

In 1990 pioneering California luthiers Larry Breedlove and Steve Henderson left their jobs at Taylor Guitars to move to Oregon and create what would become Breedlove.  In doing so, they established a guitar brand that would integrate cutting edge design and modern guitar-making techniques.

This guitar is a prime example of their initial direction, integrating the traditional dreadnought form factor with uniquely Breedlove design elements.  Its dreadnought based body is rounded, and the instrument incorporates Breedlove's beautiful headstock design and winged bridge. It also includes an abalone Breedlove antique B logo on the headstock.
