A very nice set of open back Kawai Electric Archtop Guitar Tuners with original bushings and mounting screws from a 1968 Kawai Archtop electric guitar offered for sale here. I purchased a Kawai archtop a year ago that needed extensive restoration so I parted out the body, neck, and all the components and am finally getting around to putting the tuners up for sale. These tuners are extremely nice and are as well made as similar open back Grover Tuners
I don't think any other manufacturer produced tuners that have plastic covers over the tuner works as these do, kind of a cool and fascinating feature, and the plastic covers are still in excellent condition for their age, clear and transparent with no cracks or yellowing as seen in the photos.
The tuners are in overall very good condition. As seen in the photos they are a chrome finish with pearloid tuning buttons that have yellowed with age. The tuners work and hold tune well.
In the third photo only four plastic bushings are shown as two had broken prior to the photo shoot last Summer, but I have since acquired a set of plastic bushings so I will include two more in the sale. All the original screws are present as seen in the photo and are included in the sale as well. The last few photos are pictures I found on the internet of some examples of the Kawai archtop guitars of the era. The pictures pretty much tell the story, if you have any questions pertaining to the tuners, feel free to ask them. I have described the tuners and their condition accurately and am selling them as is with no returns due to its age and vintage condition.
