manufactures description: the Ludwig Keystone snare drum are high quality American made snares with the loud attack and sonic clarity you expect from Ludwig. using 5-ply combination of a Classic Maple three-ply core between inner and outer 1/16" plys of American Red Oak creates a thin, dense shell that speaks loudly with quick, even decay. the shell has a dual 45-degree bearing edge pulled to the center of the shell to seat perfectly into the head, the strainer is a classic P85 strainer and it's topped off with the new Monroe badge [made from recycled Bach trumpet brass]
