Vintage 1984 Charvel San Dimas Model One Electric Guitar w/ Peavey Case!

Up for sale is this vintage 1984 Charvel San Dimas Model One electric guitar. Let me be the first to say that we are NOT experts on these guitars, so please see all of the photos and read the entire description.

This guitar is in nice condition for its age, bit does show some long finish checking and some dings (pictured). There is a small crack coming off of the neck pocket. It does appear to be in the wood, but is sturdy (pictured). We are not 100% sure if the blue finish is original, due to the finish sprayed on the control cavity shielding (pictured), but the finish checking is consistent with other period Charvel instruments that we have seen and it looks to be factory.

The Kahler rout is factory, but we are not sure if the chrome Kahler is due to other Model One's usually having black Kahler tremolo units. This chrome Kahler is absolutely period correct and could be original, however.

The guitar is currently loaded with a vintage Bill Lawrence humbucker and it sounds great. The volume control knob does not look to be original.

The guitar plays well, but could very much benefit from a fresh set of strings and a good set up. We will leave this to the new owner so that they can have it strung and set up to their exact preferences.

A rough condition, but sturdy, Peavey hardshell case is included for shipping. One corner of the case is busted, but it still protects the guitar.

Overall, a nice example of a rare, early Charvel model. These do not show up for sale very often, so don't miss out!
