Precison Bass with Jazz Bass Neck, Partscaster

Junker Precision Bass of the 21st Century in Jet Fire Orange w/ Maple and Black Block Inlayed 70's Vintage Style Jazz Bass Neck!

This bass is a Partscaster bass I built up from mostly new parts. For the money, this is truly an amazing bass that you can put up against any MIM P you have and it will easily win. It has D'Addario XL Chromes Flat Wound Strings that came off of a Gibson EB0 - therefore the splice due to the 2+2 tuners (shorter G) on that EBO bass. Alnico V Pickups. CTS A250K Solid Shaft Pots with a .047 uF Orange Drop capacitor. New Truss Rod installed. Bone Nut. Tuners turn smooth as butter.

I have done all the set up (per Fender Specs) and maintenance to make it play and sound really great. Neck Relief, Action (both nut and 17th fret), PU Height, Bridge Intonation and Fret Polish (there is no wear on the frets). Action will go lower if you prefer that. No high frets or sharp fret ends and no buzzes or choked notes. Intonation is spot on.

The finish on the body is not perfect. And there are a couple discrete places where I painted over scratches and chips etc. with an orange "Crushed" Hard as Nails nail polish. The color of the body in the finish flaw collage close-ups is the most correct photo color as it is slightly different than the rest of the pictures.  The body wood is Swamp Ash.

The neck is one I bought with a broken truss rod that someone had also ground off the Squire CV Gold Logo on the front and Serial Number on the back with a Dremel tool. I had the "Junker" peg head decal made and applied it and clear-coated over it after sanding down and filling in the brutal gouges with clear lacquer. It is a Jazz proportion neck at 1.5" nut width. Fast and bright balanced with the flat wounds! You are going to love the sound and feel of this Junk Yard Dog.
