Zhang An 5-String Acoustic/Electric 5-String Violin c-2003

We are selling this unusual 5-string Zhang An acoustic violin. It is tuned like a standard violin, with the 5th string being a low 'C' string. 

It is set up with a L.R. Baggs bridge pickup (with a 1/4" jack installed), a set of Wittner geared pegs (makes tuning a 5-string a breeze!), a metal Thomastik 5-string tailpiece with built in fine tuners, and a Helicore 5-string violin string set. A removable "Chinrest Lip" is also installed.

The original acoustic bridge (a Despiau 2-Tree) that was cut and fit for this violin will also be included if there is later a desire to take off the pickup.

Zhang An is a master violin maker who has won several medals in international competition, most notable the Triennale competition which is held in Cremona, Italy.
