The Star Bass is one of the Framus bass guitars that Bill Wyman of The Rolling Stones played in the early to mid 1960’s. The Star is thin neck, short in scale 30.5” with 20 frets. Nice and light weight at 6.11 lbs. The body on the Star Bass had a single Florentine cutaway on the lower bout. The top and back were mahogany and the sides were maple. It bound with a white plastic strip. The Electronics are fully functional and the bass sounds good. It shows some wear, dings and superficial scratches, etc, but overall very nice condition. There are 3 small cracks in the laminated headstock. Nothing major ,but it needs mentioning. They are cosmetic and do not compromise structure of the bass. I have close up photos included. It is missing 2 of the tuner grommets on the A & D strings. The plastic spacer under the neck pickup has fractured and loss some pieces. The frets are in good shape and very playable. No truss rod cover no case.
