Steinberger Replacement Plug-in Leg Rest

These are new replacement bayonet plug-in leg rests for early Steinberger L2 basses.

Leg rest is fabricated from black plexiglass for long-term durability, copied from an original leg rest by a custom plastics fabricator. The posts have been copied from an original leg rest as well, and are custom CNC milled from stainless steel. It attaches with a socket cap screw and a spring inserted over the post to snug the leg rest when installed. All this is per the original design as well.

Not all Steinberger leg rests are interchangeable. This version plug-in style was found on the original L series basses. They are a "pin & spring" type of keyed attachment, that inserts into a centered hole in the body mounted insert. I've included a pic of the appropriate insert this fits, the most common insert type. If yours has a much smaller hole or an off-set one, this leg rest will not fit. I don't know that I've ever seen the other types for sale, and have never seen aftermarket ones made.
