-This guitar was hand made in Phoenix, AZ. It is not a vintage spec'd reproduction of any particular year Bass VI. Body shape and carves are nearly exactly what you will find on an old VI. Control layout is On/Off for each pup, Master Volume, and Master Tone.
*Some pictures show this instrument with a Mastery Vibrato, the guitar NO LONGER HAS A MASTERY VIBRATO ON IT. Instead it has an import vibrato (one of the few that has ever passed my tests...and I have a large drawer full of the rejects). The vibrato is fitted with a Staytrem arm assembly and is very solid, musical, and shows none of the issues that other imports generally show. The chrome plate has been straight line sanded a bit to match the Mastery bridge and other metal hardware (see detail photos).
The finish on this is a one of a kind, sunburst on front and back, with natural blended sides...it just worked out that way and will probably never be repeated!
It is strung with D'Addario EXL156 24-84 strings.
This guitar plays and sounds fantastic. Bass VI's are strange creatures, but in the right hands they offer a unique tone and presence that no other instrument can provide, and this is your chance to own a custom built one at near cost.
The instrument will be set up prior to shipping, double boxed, within 1 week of purchase.
This instrument is Brand New, but has been hanging in a retail shop for awhile and therefore shows some signs of playing from the numerous people who demoed it. Since it has not sold yet, I am offering it here for a very low price (regular price $2400). Wear is minimal and it is a solid, very well made instrument.
