A slide player's dream, the Reso-Volt is the result of years of expertise in resophonics and how to better amplify them. Hand built by Elderly Instruments repairman and reso-guru Steve Olson, the Reso-Volt is a thin body resophonic guitar that utilizes an 8.25 inch cone with a Conetone "Electric Biscuit" pickup which successfully captures the sound coming off of the cone itself. Olson has combined this with a Stretch Winder Mud Slide humbucking (Alnico 5) pickup with separate volume control, and a Fishman Powerchip, offering more flexibility and a wider range of available sounds. The Reso-Volt produces one of the best "electrified-reso" sounds we've heard. Crystal Grey finish on polycarbonate top, alder back with flame maple veneer, flame maple neck, ebony fingerboard, 1.75 inch nut, 25 inch scale, master volume and three way switch, with hard case.
