The Epiphone Wildkat in Antique Natural is a prime candidate for the newcomer to the archtop format with prime specs like a quilt top, warm pair of pickups, and authentic Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. A bit smaller, the body shape makes for an easy transition to the format from solid bodies with a SlimTaper D neck for easy action up and down the fretboard. Finish it off with a sedately-aged maple quilt top and pair of P-90 Dogear Classic pickups for an instrument any jazz or rockabilly aficionado would be happy to have around.
