This is a Vintage1979 Ibanez Artist AR50 electric guitar. Made in Japan !!!
It has all of it's original parts except for the Dunlop strap buttons. She plays/sounds great !!!
The pickups are Super 70's coverless humbuckers and are very articulate
and well balanced. (They are the same as what came stock in the basic
Artist models of the time, but not the stamped and serialized versions
people are selling for $300).
The Tuners are the sweet Ibanez Vele Tuners, Bridge is the Classic Gibraltar, with the famous Quick Change Tailpiece.
The guitar is in nice shape with a carved mahogany
body and neck like a Gibson Les Paul. It also has that familiar LP weight, around 12 pounds approx.
There is some age/wear to the paint and the chrome parts. The finish has typical dings/nicks etc and some fading to the hardware's chrome paint.
Overall it's in very nice shape for a 40 year old player. It is 100% gig worthy.
Recently set up (12-26-19) with Ernie Ball 11's. The Action is low/fast with room to raise/lower to suit your style. Frets are in good shape up the neck with no buzz. There is some minor fret wear but it has probably been buffed/crowned along the way because they are very clean for it's age.
Now I will include the original case for
shipping protection but it looks like hell. Maybe a truck ran it over or
IDK what? it's mostly held together by duct tape at this point. You
won't want to be seen with it.
