Talk about insanely rare? This is an original left-handed red Steinberger GL4T! Obviously a custom-ordered guitar, as, besides being left-handed and red, it has no fingerboard inlays. The dots are in the correct positions on the edge of the fingerboard, for those who need such "passe" reference points. Just finding a left-handed TransTrem guitar is nearly impossible, but a red one? In near-mint condition? Damn. As always, we had master Steinberger luthier Jeff Babicz fine-tune every detail on this guitar, so it's now ready for the next 35 years of playing enjoyment.  

If you're a lefty, this would be the piece-de-resistance for your collection. Certainly a one of a kind instrument. This GL4T model features the one piece neck-thru-body carbon-graphite construction and is impervious to changes in temperature and humidity. The 3 pushbutton pickup selector allows for any combination of the three powered EMG pickups to be activated, allowing for an extremely wide tone range. The TransTrem has been rebuilt and functions exactly as designed. It allows the player to easily change keys and it returns to zero accurately.    

This Steinberger GL4T guitar will ship in a modern black gig-bag with its correct reverse-threaded left-hand TransTrem arm, a new black cotton strap, an extra set of strings, plus a copy of Jeff Babicz's work-order.
