Hamer Special Rare Black with gold hardware Checkerboard 1984

This is a beautiful rare guitar.  Factory black paint in very good condition with special ordered gold hardware. It is a 1984 model and the neck is similar to most of the early Specials, it feels thin and fast but not skinny, with some more thickness in the cowboy chord area and higher up on the neck for amazing playability. The frets are in excellent shape and the fretboard is perfect.

There are only two noticeable blemishes on the guitar.  One tiny chip on the back of the neck 1/16"x1/4" (see picture) and one on the area that your forearm sits on the front of the guitar 1/8"x1-1/8" and it is worn smooth so it is not a chip. The cool part of that worn spot is that you can see the figured maple top and mahogany.

It has been recently set up and plays flawlessly.  All the parts are original.  It comes with the original case.
