The A-132-8 is a four-channel dual VCA mainly intended for polyphonic applications. The module contains four VCA pairs with the two VCAs of each pair connected in series. The first VCA (L) has a linear control characteristic, while the second VCA (X) can be selected by means of a jumper between linear and exponential characteristics. The module was designed to influence polyphonic patches in volume and to make them playable dynamically. The first VCA per channel works in a linear fashion.  In addition there is no need for a mixer at the end of polyphonic signal chains  since the module features a sum output.
