1/14/20 Update: Video clip added showing off how the guitar sounds (see last pic in the image scroll to view here or message for a direct link to YouTube; I also made a second clip showcasing the guitar using a Rat pedal that I can send over message).

Here's a chance to own a boutique, unique, one-of-a-kind completely custom and handmade from scratch (with no kits of pre-assembled parts whatsoever) Flying V guitar! This guitar was crafted and guided by the expert hands of master luthier Tracy Cox, the custom shop inlay artist for Martin guitars and proprietor of Inlay Design Studios in Colton, NY (feel free to Google him or message me and I'll gladly send links out to his jaw-dropping work and website). I've included pics of the finished guitar as well as some shots from while it was being made. This guitar was inspired by Joe Bonamassa's "Amos" '58 Korina Flying V, and I personally helped with the build from start to finish. Of course, it is not an officially licensed or endorsed Gibson product, just a quality one-off custom guitar (not an exact replica) made by a couple of fans in homage to one of the great guitar slingers of our time, and it delivers the goods. Also, this guitar comes with a Gator hardshell case designed for Flying Vs at no extra charge!

If you've ever wanted a Gibby Flying V but hesitated because of price-point relative to its usability, this one is tremendous bang for your buck. American made, by hand, no kits-- done the right way. As soon as this guitar is strapped on and plugged in, you'll hear and feel the quality difference that makes this such a great instrument to play. It was made with love, and this guitar absolutely rips! It sounds fantastic with a medium, fast-playing neck and brilliant pickup response. It looks stunning and turns heads the moment it's unveiled, and it looks as great as it sounds. There are a couple small scratches but they are not major, and I'll have my luthier make an attempt at buffing them out before the guitar goes out to its new home. I tried to take a close-up pic of the two small scratches that I can see.

Here are the detailed specs:

- Mahogany neck (1-piece with winged traditional '58 Flying V style headstock; 24.9 scale; 22 frets; 12" radius; 1 11/16" nut width)

- Mahogany body (2-piece)

- Color: Antique Natural (stained to give a Korina patina look)

- Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays

- "Blank" in Gibson-style font inlayed on headstock (by the formidable Tracy Cox, of course)

- High-end, boutique Lust for Tone SkyDawgs Tribute Series humbucker pickups - a $400 value! (These pickups are wound to emulate Duane Allman's pickup tone)

- '58 Flying V pickguard - Black-White-Black

- Flying V Tailpiece - Chrome (chosen over sourcing aged gold hardware and for aesthetic preference)

- Flying V jack plate (in mismatching white, just like Joe Bonamassa's "Amos")

- Tune-O-Matic Bridge

- Kluson tuners

- Pickup selector switch tip (amber color)

- Rubber knee rest (just like the old '58s-- this piece had to be imported from Portugal!)

- Nickel silver fretwire

- 500k pots and standard wiring

- Hard shell Gator case

A word of caution: don't let the asking price fool you-- this is not some cheap-feeling hunk o' junk. This is a legit guitar that sounds, feels, and plays fantastically, and I'm parting with it only to fund another gear purchase. This is a fantastic, custom, handmade, one-of-a-kind guitar that was carefully, meticulously and lovingly made. I'm into it for well over what the price is listed for, but it's not getting the attention it deserves in my rotation so I've made it available for sale. I *am* open to trades (for any cool custom shop/ vintage Gibson or Fender guitars or perhaps a sweet Rickenbacker) but a cash sale is my preference.

Buy it now for a great price today! I ship same-day or next business day at the latest. Posted shipping rate covers mailing, insurance, and fees, and only covers the continental US. Sorry, no international shipping.  Please note that I live in northern New York and it is winter here, which is often mind-numbingly cold. I may need to wait a day or two if the weather is truly horrible for shipping a wooden instrument (such as sub-zero weather, which does happen occasionally). With this in mind (even though I'll have my own luthier give everything a clean once-over/ quick setup before shipping out), please be aware that you will most likely want to get the guitar setup to your preferences upon receiving it (either by yourself or a trusted professional), especially in the event that humidity or temperature fluctuations mess with any of the settings or components during shipment. I'll be in regular communication throughout the shipping process with updates and time estimates until it makes it to your door or local warehouse. (And even after that, I'll still undoubtedly bug you to see how you're digging the new guitar!)

Thanks for looking!
