A classic overwound Telecaster lead pickup that is full of twang and bark along with the midrange punch of a humbucker.

Description

The Hot Tele Lead pickup uses flat, hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a special high output coil wind to give you enough midrange power to cut through like a humbucker. The absence of a steel bottom-plate gives you a fat, full punch in both the low and mid-range frequencies, yet it retains the muscular twang of a vintage style lead pickup. Great for Telecaster players who demand a more powerful lead tone, with extra presence and drive.Pair with our Hot Tele Rhythm for a beefy guitar, or use with our Vintage Tele Rhythm for added versatility.We hand grind the alnico 5 magnets, then build, lacquer dip and wind the bobbin. The completed pickups are vacuum wax potted for squeal free performance.

STR-2 Hot Rhythm
Summary

The Hot for Telecaster Rhythm is an overwound true single coil that delivers a bigger, fatter neck tone. Thick and sweet with a great low end power.

Description

The Hot Tele Rhythm’s custom overwound coil yields a bigger, fatter sound with greater overall warmth. If you were to begin with a vintage rhythm pickup, wind it hotter, and trade the high end response for mid-range, the result would be the Hot Tele Rhythm. The treble response is still articulate, but it is smoothed out by the more aggressive low end. Great for full sounding chords and sweet solo work.

Pairs well with our Hot Tele Lead, our Quarter Pound Tele Lead, or our Hot Rails Tele Lead.

These are hand build in Santa Barbara, and use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, along with the traditional deep drawn chrome plated Telecaster cover, wax potted for squeal free performance.
