One of the last of the real USA-built Steinberger GM4T model guitars. This black GM4T was built by Steinberger just before they ceased using the original one-piece carbon-fiber necks with 5-bolt construction. This is a gorgeous example that's been totally restored (see photos) and performs like new. All of this work was completed by Jeff Babicz, who was the former head of production at Steinberger. Jeff re-fretted and mirror-polished the frets, and also serviced the electronics. He also rebuilt the TransTrem with new bearings and spring and burnished the roller saddles, so the tremolo now transposes correctly and returns to zero accurately (see attached paperwork).
This GM4T has the one-piece neck construction, the premium low-impedance EMG humbucking and single-coil pickups, and the amazing TransTrem transposing tremolo. It features a 5-way Strat type toggle, for easy pickup selection and it also includes the factory coil-tap switch for the EMG 89 humbucker, which allows for a single-coil voice. Lighter and more sculpted bodies make these some of our favorites.
This Steinberger GM4T guitar will ship in a modern black gig-bag with its Trans-Trem arm, a new black cotton strap, an extra set of calibrated TT strings, and a copy of Jeff's work-order. Hard cases are also available. Purchasing your Steinberger from a trusted source is critical when investing in these sophisticated instruments. See our feedback. Questions? Please ask.

Beware! Caveat Emptor!
Be forewarned! Attention Steinberger Buyers! This exact same following scenario has played out so many times in the past that we feel the need to make you aware. A customer often sees what "appears to be" a “bargain” price on a Steinberger instrument listed for sale somewhere on the internet, but on delivery discovers lots of issues and problems with his/her new purchase. After shipping the instrument to us for service, they find out that the cost for proper restoration far exceeds their original expectations. The customer then proceeds to tell us that it would have been less expensive to simply purchase one of our fully restored Steinbergers and would also have saved them weeks and the associated costs for multiple shippings and repairs. We don’t believe that these sellers are intentionally misrepresenting the instruments. They simply don’t have enough knowledge about these advanced guitars and basses to properly evaluate them. We are the world’s specialists on Steinberger guitars and basses. See our customer testimonials and our perfect customer feedback. If you’re seriously interested in owning a correctly performing Steinberger instrument, we are the ONLY company that can properly service your guitar or bass.
