Roland Bolt 60 Tube Valve Guitar Amplifier

This is a terrific amp and I am reluctantly selling it because I have moved to Australia. My Dad is selling for me from Rochester Kent

This amp was built between 1979 and 1984, and is the only valve amp ever made by Roland, giving it collectible status. I’ve had this amp since 1997 and recently had it serviced by Dickinson Amps, a boutique valve amp specialist in Crystal Palace. They gave me spare valves which are included in the sale.

This amp has a warm analogue valve sound. Being 60W, it sounds great at low volumes but also shines when you can crank it up a bit and mic it up on stage. I found the power perfect, because if it was any louder you wouldn’t be able to pump it up to get that little bit of crunch from the valve without drowning out the band. Having said this, you can use the “pre-amp out” to connect to a seperate power amp, line out to a mixer etc, and speaker out to connect to an external speaker. You can also move the FX loop to pre or post EQ, or post volume.

Have a look at all the videos and reviews you can find online about this amp and they will all say the same thing - very happy customers and they rarely come on the market.

There is cosmetic wear as you would expect, namely to the cab frame under the speaker, and the grille is missing a few threads here and there but nothing very noticeable or structurally significant. I noticed the piece of wood protecting the valves cracking a few years ago so I recinforced it with a heavier piece of wood. It would be easy to replace this if you prefer the original style..
