Haunting Spaghetti Western scores that changed the genre, razor blade soundtracks to biker movies and the onset of psychedelia – All three put the electric guitar as a brash, unapologetic buzzsaw at the center of their respective sound.  Hundreds of fuzz pedals have followed, but there are only a short handful that can really deliver that ragged, mind-ripping fuzz.

The Ennio was designed to take the best parts of the classic 60s fuzzes – notably the Mosrite Fuzzrite and the Maestro Fuzz – and bring the noise it forward with impeccable build quality and modern updates.
Mayhem is made by a pair of 2N4401 transistors, chosen for their tone and reliability, so you can step on stage knowing your sound is as ready as you are.  The Gain knob does more than just make things fuzzier – As you turn it up, it actually changes the nature of the fuzz itself.  Lower gain settings are very fizz-fuzzy and ripping.  Midway through the knob you roll into the wider, somewhat horn-like sounds the pedal is capable of, and at full gain you’re grinding mountains into sand.

I originally created the Ennio because I wasn’t satisfied with the 60s fuzz pedals on the market and thought I could make one that looked as gnarly and raw as it sounded.  What I discovered shortly after releasing the standard Ennio was how many more guitarists are like me – on the hunt for vintage fuzz tone but in a smaller enclosure for modern pedalboards.  This combination of tone, build quality, form factor and looks has made the Ennio the modern benchmark for 60s fuzz tones.

While I’ve made a big deal about the vintage pedigree of this pedal – and for good reason – I have to say that the majority of Ennio players haven’t been of the surf/instro persuasion like I anticipated but are into some form of hard rock.  Seems a lot of heavy riffers are tired of all the Muff-alike fuzz pedals and want something raw, ragged and different – which the Ennio most definitely is.

This listing is for the Ennio Standard in its stock form of two knobs, Desert paint with Black graphics.  I also do custom variations for added features, custom graphics and other color schemes, such as the surf green and hemi orange examples, just contact me with your ideas and we'll make it happen.
