This is a wicked cool 1969 Supro Lexington, model number S635.  These old Supros have really become desirable recently for their unique and "eclectic" look and their notoriety from Dan Auerbach, who has played a Lexington (and other Supro guitars) on many of the Black Key's albums.  It's offset design was intended to be Supro's version of a Fender Jazzmaster and it's unique shape really gives it that vintage underground vibe.

The guitar has two pickups that look like humbuckers but are actually single coils in disguise.  These pickups have an awesome P-90'ish sound to them and really growl in this guitar.  When we acquired the guitar it was missing the factory pickup rings so we modified a set of standard humbucker rings to fit and put them in place just like the originals.  These pickups are slightly wider than standard humbuckers so we had to widen the rings to fit.

The logo is missing from the headstock on this guitar, which seams to be a common issue with these models for whatever reason.  You can still see the imprint in the headstock though.  Replacements are available if you want to put one back on.  The finish has a really nice patina with typical checking and wear.  There are some nicks and scratches but it just adds to the vintage aura of the guitar.

Everything else on the guitar is original, including the unique tone filtering circuit that is operated by the switches on the pickguard.  Each pickup has a "low" and "high" tone setting which is controlled by it's respective switch.  The two knobs are volume knobs for their respective pickups.  We've cleaned and inspected all the electronics and it is working flawlessly.

The guitar is fitted with the factory tremolo which operates similar to a Jazzmaster setup.  The original trem arm was missing but a standard Jazzmaster trem arm will work in it's place.  The neck is quite straight considering it doesn't have an adjustable truss rod and the action is low/medium and plays well.
