2019 Galloup G.2C, Brazilian Rosewood/Italian Spruce

Incredible! A complete instrument in every note. Bryan Galloup is building some of the finest guitars we’ve ever seen, and he’s working alongside some of our favorite luthiers on the scene to boot. This 2019 G.2C is a powerhouse. Striking Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Italian Spruce top with Adirondack Spruce bracing, nitro finish and hide glue construction—Bryan applies the scientific method to his building, yielding consistently consistent guitars like his responsive G.2C. We love the definition between the registers, and the crisp presence of individual notes; they burst right out of the soundhole under even a delicate attack. The larger lower bout helps flesh out the bass response, and we had so much fun tuning this beauty down into D and even C territory to really bring out that bottom end growl. Waverly tuners keep the neck weight down, and Galloup installed a sharp-looking pinless bridge and added a contour to the heelblock to give the left hand even easier access to the upper frets via the Venetian Cutaway.
