The Lakland 55-94 has been a staple on stage and in the studio since it was introduced 25 years ago.  One of the aspects of Lakland that made them stand out in the marketplace was the combination of cutting edge electronics, 35" scale, and aesthetic style that recalled the best of vintage instruments allowing Lakland basses to fit in on any stage.  Recently Lakland stepped into the world of exotic tops, this Birds Eye Maple is a perfect example of how Lakland's classic style blends seamlessly with exotic touches. 

Look at that close up of the top! Birds Eye swirls are gorgeous! The ash body and Ebony fingerboard give this bass a punchy growl that fits perfectly in any genre. The black headstock was a custom request upgrade that adds to the class of this very distinctive instrument. New from Lakland this combo of woods and finish option fetched a $4500 price tag.

The Lakland/Hanson LH3 preamp and Pickups are some of the most versatile in the industry. The 3 band eq allows you to boost and cut frequencies and get any tone you need. The widely imitated pickup configuration allows you to get P, 70's J, 60's J, MM, and in combination a sound that is is uniquely all its own.

Made in Chicago, weighs in at 9.5lbs, ships in its original hardshell case.
