For sale is a 1974 Guild D50 Rosewood. This guitar is a one owner bought new in 1974, then recently purchased by me. The owner was a real Guild Guy that took very good care of this guitar for 45 years. It has many hours logged of playtime and ware, but it has never been abused. Small dings and scratches throughout the guitar, and some small weather checks here and there. This guitar is completely sound in it's structure. No cracks, no repairs, just good honest use. It has plenty of saddle left to work with, so its no where near a neck reset. The truss rod works perfectly. With a slight turn of the truss rod, this guitar's action can be raised for the heavy, power strumming, blue grass boom we all love. Or, the action can be lowered nice and low for easy finger picking play ability. This guitar can do it all, and with a clean bill of health, it's waiting on its next owner, and ready to serve him for decades to come.    The spruce top has really mellowed out and has a that nice amber complexion. It has the true, vintage top, look that's earned and not burned.  New guitars with torrefied tops are baked in an oven in hopes of having the sound and looks of this D50. The Indian Rosewood has nice figuring and can resemble a Brazilian back. The sides have some nice reds and purples in them as well. The pick up works perfectly, and the case is in nice shape, and it is original with all latches working.
If you are looking for a guitar that has all the miles logged on it to open up the sound and reach it's potential, while never being abused, and well looked after, then this is your guitar. Please message me for any additional information or pictures. Thanks for looking!! I have other guilds for sale along with this guitar listed on other online marketplaces.
