My name is Dave Vogele and although Im new here, I've been making Ebay rich since 1996 :-)
I have been in the guitar repair field since 1987 and have been building for the past 5 years in norther Indiana.
I specialize in one off custom creations, vintage tributes, and modern variations of some of the classics we all know and love.
Here we have a scratch built Explorer made very close to 1958 specs. It features an incredible, solid 2 piece 5A Flame Maple body, 1 piece Maple neck with Flame Maple headstock cap, Ebony fingerboard, medium jumbo frets and a 24.625 Gibson scale.
The finish is 5mil catalyzed Sikkens clear-coat wet sanded to 3000grit and buffed to a mirror finish.
The neck profile is in between a 50's and a slim taper 60's. Electronics consist of a pair of Duncan Slash Alnico II's, TonePros locking bridge & Tailpiece (nickel), Sperzel locking tuners, Bone nut, CTS pots, braided wire, Emerson Paper-in-oil .022 cap, Switchcraft switch & jack. Schaller straplocks. It weighs 8.2 lbs. A new hard case is included.
